Our World is Beautiful – photographer Ariani Dikye from Indonesia has best captured the beauty of our world with this outstanding photo “Warung kopi”. The jury came to a clear conclusion, as this shot shows how joy comes to life when people come together in their community to share the beauty of their world in a moment. The photographer has elicited something very special from the scene and brought the mood of the moment to life through the quality of the photo we see.

CEWE Photo Award jurer Lois Lammerhuber summed up the magic of this photograph: "The photography immerses the viewer within the depicted scene, with the interplay of light adding to the unique ambiance and intensifying the emotional impact. The authenticity of the situation also serves as a significant factor. In an era marked by growing inquiries into what is genuine and what is contrived, we find ourselves squarely amidst the vivid tapestry of life."

With this extraordinary photograph, Ariani Dikye was able to win not only the 'People' category but ultimately also the overall victory.

Over €250,000 in prizes to be won

The CEWE Photo Award is a photo competition free to enter and open to anyone over the age of 18. Your photos will be judged by a panel of recognised industry experts, journalists and professional photographers.

1st Prize

A holiday of your choice worth €15000; €7500 worth of photography equipment; €2500 in CEWE products; and an award presented to you personally at a special awards ceremony in Germany.

2nd to 10th Place

€5000 worth of photography equipment and €2500 in CEWE products.

11th to 30th Place

€2500 worth of photography equipment and €1000 in CEWE vouchers.

31st to 1000th Place

A voucher worth €100, redeemable across the full CEWE product range.

Every entry into our free photo competition will help children across the world

Once again, we’re proud to be working in close association with SOS Children’s Villages International. For every photo entered into our photo competition, we’re going to be donating ten Euro cents to their amazing cause. SOS Children’s Villages is an independent global charity that works to improve the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children across the globe.

As a non-governmental and non-denominational body, their work is reliant on donations and support from sponsors. CEWE has been in partnership with them since 2013.
